Mindful Markings
Mindful Markings is a therapy business for people with mental illnesses. We have collected a series of scientific information, along with personal stories, that connects the benefits of getting tattoos with mental and even physical health. Our business offers tattoo and counseling sessions for those who need a physical and/or mental release of stress.
Depending on the type of sessions needed, both types of therapy can range from 15 minutes to one hour. All clients must sign up by appointment only. Clients have the option to sign up for counseling sessions once or twice a week, once every other week, once a month, or just schedule as needed. Our hours of operation are Monday - Thursday 8am-4pm and Friday - Sunday 11am-6pm.
You can register to be sponsored in our Untangling Program. Our Untangling Program helps support clients in need of therapy sessions. Support can be received through donation and/or the purchase of a sponsoring box. For every box purchased, 50% of the proceeds will go to those sponsored. In this box, you will find your own self recording therapy journal. Make Your Mark Journal offers a series of questions and phrases that will help you get an understanding of yourself. It also offers several opportunities for you to be able to doodle and sketch out things that make you happy. These sketches and doodles could be just to have and look back on or to possibly be an idea for a new tattoo one day. Your mental state matters, your physical state matters, you matter.
If you have mental issues and like tattoos or the idea of tattoos, this could be for you. If you have mental issues and don’t like tattoos, you don’t have to give in to the aesthetics and there are programs out there that might suit you better.
