Beyond The Hanger

My inspiration was the saying "going down the rabbit hole..." To me that meant learning an extensive amount of information about a certain (maybe niche) topic. I am providing the audience a plethora of information on fast fashion and its effects on the environment, and its workers.

The purpose of these posters is to be displayed maybe at a bus stop or maybe even a billboard at events like NYFW. I wanted the collage to be primary as it's the most interesting to look at, then the text to be secondary. I wanted the infographic to show numerical facts about how harmful the fashion industry is. I designed tote bags to use when you thrifting, grocery shopping etc. Be more sustainable and not use plastic bags all while sending a message saying "I am Sustainably Made.". Since I am encouraging shopping second hand more, I wanted the purpose of these dryer lavender bags to be used maybe if when you bought something from the thrift and it has that "thrift store smell" you could use the bags and make the smell go away.

Since a lot of people are on social media like instagram, I wanted these to send the message on the platform that these younger people are mostly on. Also a videoto send a visual message of what you are really supporting when buying from these fast fashion places. A website to gain more understanding on the project and see everything come together. Pins as a statement piece, and a VR space to provoke an experimental thought to the viewers.
