Who is the best wrestler-turned-actor? Body Slams to Blockbusters highlights three wrestler-turned-actors with the objective of showcasing qualitative and quantitative data to help the viewer choose ‘who is the best wrestler-turned-actor?’. I was inspired by my significant other, Jonathan, to create Body Slams to Blockbusters. Among many things, we both share a love of professional wrestling and movies. This theme allowed for the combination of my illustrative style of compositionally complex pop culture-oriented portrait illustration fused with a digital cut-paper aesthetic, and graphic design skills. The three main posters, serving as the focal point of this project, depict John Cena, Dwayne Johnson, and Dave Bautista. Each poster contains an illustration.
